How to Backup and Restore Your Growth Data
All data is stored locally on your device. If your device is lost, stolen or damaged, then you risk losing all your data if you do not back up your data periodically.
The app will remind you every now and then to back up your data. However, you can back up your data at any time by following the steps below.
Backup to iCloud
- Signed into iCloud and verify that there is enough disk space.
- Tap on the Menu (upper left corner) and select Backup Data.
- Select Backup to iCloud.
Restore from iCloud
- Make sure you are signed into iCloud and that there is enough disk space.
- Tap on the Menu (upper left corner) and select Restore from iCloud.
Backup to Email
- Tap on the Menu (upper left corner).
- Select Backup Data.
- Select Export.
- Select Mail from the share screen.
- Enter the recipient's email address and send.
Restore from Email
- Launch the Mail App.
- Locate the email with the exported growth data.
- Touch the attachment icon and long press on it until the share sheet appears.
- Find Copy to Baby Growth from the list of apps to import your data (you may have to tap on the "... more" button to find it).
Backup to Files
- Signed into iCloud and verify that there is enough disk space.
- Tap on the Menu (upper left corner).
- Select Backup Data.
- Select Export.
- Select Save to Files from the share screen.
- Select iCloud Drive as the location.
- Enter your email address and send.
Restore from Files
- Launch the Files App.
- Tap on the file babyGrowthTracker.
- Tap on the export button (upper right corner).
- Find Copy to Baby Growth from the list of apps to import your data (you may have to tap on the "... more" button to find it).
iTunes
You can also backup and restore your data with iTunes by backing up your entire device. In the Backups section, please verify that the following options are checked:
- Ensure that This Computer: A full backup of your iPhone will be stored on this computer is checked.
- Ensure that Encrypt local backup: This will allow account passwords, Health, and HomeKit data to be backed up is checked.
