FAQ
How do I backup or share the growth data?
Please see How to Backup and Restore Your Growth Data.
Should I use WHO or CDC?
CDC recommends the use of WHO charts until 24 months (read more about it here). After 24 months, use the CDC charts. If you don't want to think about it, you can simply choose "Automatic" (default setting) in settings and Baby Growth Chart Tracker will automatically choose the appropriate one based on your child's age at the time of the exam.
How is premature calculation handled?
On the "Growth Entries" screen where you can see an overview of your child's growth progress, the app will use the Fenton 2013 growth standard will be used to calculate the percentiles if the baby's age is 50 weeks or less.
After 50 weeks, the corrected age (also known as the adjusted age) will be used. Corrected age is calculated by taking the baby's chronological age minus the number of weeks or months the baby was born early. For example, a one-year-old who was born three months early would have a corrected age of nine months.
On the "Growth Chart" screen where it shows the official growth charts for various standards, the app will attempt to plot the growth entry on each available chart.
What does the Compare Children button do?
The Compare Children feature will graph all your children on one single graph so that you can easily compare their development. The trends graph will show all your children. The official growth charts will graph will be per gender.
